  • Exploration of charge sensitive preamplifiers at Brookhaven National Laboratory(BNL). These preamplifiers are still sold by eV PRODUCTS
1990
  • II-VI funded program to develop CZT for radiation sensors
1991
  • eV PRODUCTS started CdTe/CZT with HPB growth technique
1992
  • II-VI Inc acquires eV PRODUCTS, a specialized electronic component company, allowing combination of high performance preamplifiers with CdTe/CZT
1993
  • First Spectrometer grade CZT material Grown
  • First ever Coaxial Detector manufactured and demonstrated
1994
  • Limited availability of Large Volume detectors
  • CPG detector for CZT - Invented by Paul Luke at the Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory
1995
  • First production of monolithic arrays
  • Completed 3,000 sq ft. addition to II-VI facility
  • New Generation 2 furnaces added to existing space
1996
  • Lunar Bone Mineral Densitometer is developed and marketed with eV-CZTTM for Dual Energy X-ray Absorption (DEXA)
1997
  • Broke Ground for New 35,000 sq. ft. (3,000 sq. m.) facility
  • CZT goes to space in Liquid Metal diffusion experiment flight
  • CZT lands on Mars
  • Installed Class 1000 Clean room

  • eV PRODUCTS develops first ASIC in collaboration with BNL

  • New 35,000 sqft (3,000 m2) building was constructed
1999
  • 4th Generation 3 Furnace built
2000
  • eV PRODUCTS was awarded contract to supply NASA with 40,000 CZT detectors (SWIFT Mission)
2001
  • Completed Shipment of 40,000 detectors to NASA
  • Purchased 2 Multi-wire Saws for high volume detector fabrication
  • Generation 4 furnaces built for production
2002
  • Installed patented detector bonding line/filed for patents on Z-bond?
  • Started Generation 4 furnaces for production
  • Established direct sales office in Japan
  • Started work with Los Alamos National Laboratory on hand-held CZT Spectrometer
2003
  • Awarded ARDEC contract to develop CZT sensor technology for the next generation of X-ray inspection systems to support Homeland Security, Military, Industrial and Medical Applications
2004
  • First production ingot with Mu Tau e- >1.2 x 10-2
  • Nasa Swift Mission Scheduled for launch
  • Established direct sales offices in Germany
